Made of heavy gauge galvanized steel with deep corrugation, its one-piece construction is durable enough to withstand the pressure of aggressive back filling and heavy soil or clay. The strongest well available on the market, the Stif Back II was designed and tested along with a registered structural engineering firm.
For ease of installation, flat, pre-punched flanges can easily be attached to walls and frames. The well has a projection of 36", and comes in a variety of heights (48" to 84") and well widths (49" to 79").
Even though it's made of steel, the painted finish looks just like real stacked stone. And, of course, its neutral coloring matches most house exteriors.
For extra protection, you can add a grate, grate cover,or, for added energy savings and ventilation, a thermal hinged cover – each made specifically to fit the Stif Back II window well. For further safety, you can also include an optional fire ladder with your order.
