Great ideas need to be implemented. The 2018 IRC standards are a great idea - making it mandatory for all below ground living space to have emergency exits other than the stairs commonly used to access the basement. Yet I noticed that this great idea was rarely put into effect. Home owners didn't know about or mistakenly believed it was hard to do. They also didn't know where to go for information, products, resources, etc.
