Description

The ScapeWel window well cover is an optional accessory for Bilco's ScapeWEL that shouldn't be overlooked. This translucent dome-style cover lets the ultimate amount of daylight into the basement, prevents accidental step-ins and limits the accumulation of leaves, debris and even snow within the well. It's also UV-resistant and designed to durably last for years.

At first glance it looks nice. However, water drains back toward house leading to basement leaks. Nightmare design.

Floods basement

This cover forever water into the window well and floods the basement. Poor engineering design. It should force the water away from the house not toward it

A hit and a miss

The design caused water to funnel into the front and back of the window well causing water damage. It is also somewhat lacking in structural design. I doubt if it would keep an adult from falling in.
