Description
The Cascade non egress well by Rockwell is designed to fit the smaller windows in your basement that do not double as fire escapes. To keep a consistent appearance on your house, it possesses the same elegant stone look finish as the Premier and Elite egress wells. Together with its code-compliant counterparts, the Cascade well will help boost curb appeal and greatly enhance the view from inside your basement.
Available in five different sizes to suit most settings, the well will open up a dark and dreary basement to a flood of natural light and improve air circulation, making your lower level space more enjoyable and better for your health. The well's rigid, yet lightweight fiberglass composite makeup also makes it extremely simple to install.
Important Reminder: This model of well is NOT compliant with the 2012 IRC code for emergency egress in finished basements. It should be used only in conjunction with the egress window wells available that adhere to those regulations.

I decided to replace 6 of the old style ugly galvanized steel window wells with this great upgraded look of faux stone. These wells are not egress (got the Rockwell tan cascades) but I didn't need that size for my job. They arrived on time and the shipping people were friendly and professional. I am considering buying the polycarbonate well covers for them depending on the price. The wells were pretty easy to install by myself. I used 3 3/4" length 3/8" concrete anchors. Definitely buy or rent a good rotary hammer drill to make the drilling part easy. These wells look great and make being in the basement much more appealing! |
